LAS PILAS NO DEBEN SER ARROJADAS A LA BASURA.

Las pilas no deben ser arrojadas a la basura, pues se debe evitar que toquen el suelo, ya que de esa forma pueden contaminar las napas de agua.

Son consideradas muy tóxicas las pilas tipo botón, es decir, aquellas que se utilizan en los relojes. Por ejemplo, si estas pilas se tiran con la basura y alcanzan las napas de agua, pueden contaminar 600.000 litros del agua que muchas personas beben
.
Se puede hacer de una manera más sencilla llenando la botella con pilas y luego con agua y enterrándolas. De esa manera el agua absorbe el ácido que la pila elimina, y no contamina.

Just cut a big X somewhere on the top of the bottle, then you can push the bigger batteries through as well, and when filled up, deliver to the proper recycle or disposal site.

Pet-bottles are really versatile, here´s another one:

for watering big plants sloooowly, i use pet bottles wich i have perforated with a nail a couple of times. Use a small nail if you want the flow to be small, and make about ten holes. Then you fill the bottles with water and put them in the pot who needs watering. This works great because it gives the soil time to absorb the water slowly, specially good for plants wich you let dry a bit between waterings.
Also, you can put the perfect amount of fertilizer or what not for each plant.
ps: carry the filled bottle upside down!
